Good design should do more than look good.
It should make something easier to understand, harder to ignore and more likely to be remembered.
That’s the thinking behind DoodleBox Design.

I'm January
I’m a senior graphic designer who helps companies turn ideas, information and ongoing creative needs into clear, cohesive visual systems.
My work spans branding, campaigns, packaging, presentations, digital design and the countless pieces that happen in between.
But the deliverable is only part of the job.
I’m interested in why design works—how hierarchy directs attention, how familiarity builds trust, how color influences perception and how small visual decisions can completely change the way something is understood.
That psychology shapes the way I design.
I don’t decorate.
I solve.
A project rarely arrives perfectly organized.
There are competing ideas. Too much information. Old materials. Missing pieces. Different stakeholders. Tight timelines.
That’s normal.
My job is to find the signal inside the noise and turn it into something clear, useful and visually strong.
Sometimes that means creating a new identity.
Sometimes it means expanding an existing one.
And sometimes it means figuring out what the project actually needs before designing anything at all.
Psychology + creativity + technology.
The tools designers use are changing quickly.
I use modern creative technology—including AI—as part of my process to explore faster, test more directions, solve production problems and extend what’s possible.
But tools don’t make creative decisions.
Judgment does.
Strategy, concept, taste, context and an understanding of people still lead the work.
Technology simply gives me a bigger box to think outside of.
Built for real-world creative work.
I’ve spent years designing across brands, industries and formats—from identity systems and packaging to campaigns, websites, presentations, print and production-ready files.
That range matters.
It means I can see beyond the individual piece and understand how the work needs to function as part of a larger brand.
For companies that need experienced creative support without adding another full-time position, I can also step in as an extension of an internal team—bringing senior-level thinking, flexibility and additional creative capacity when it’s needed.
